June: Utah Valley Parade of Homes
June was a whirlwind!
As usual, the summer months get crazy busy for all of us, but the highlight of our month was visiting the Utah Valley Parade of Homes. Awarded multiple “Best Parade in the Nation” awards, there is no doubt - they come to win.
We visited 24 of the 33 homes that were entered in the parade this year. Spanning several cities in Utah County, we were on the go for two days straight! The larger homes we visited were upwards of 15,500 sq ft and the smallest home was just over 1,600 sq ft. We saw everything from indoor basketball courts and golf simulators to 30 ft high rock climbing walls and indoor sound-proof shooting ranges.
If there was one conclusion we came to at the end of our trip - it was that you CAN make a smaller home just as beautiful and comfortable as a large one.
Our favorite part of every work trip is to gather knowledge. Indoor and outdoor - we love seeing new and innovative ideas and gathering information on all of the product materials we can in order to best serve our clients here at home in the PNW.
One of the funnest things we found on our trip was a company called ‘Scented Vents.’ They were partnered with multiple builders throughout the parade. These homes smelled AMAZING.

We don’t frequent the Salt Lake area regularly, but when we do, we love to stop at some of our favorite spots, as shopping is mandatory on any trip. A few of the places we had time to visit…
Sun River Gardens, Orem UT
The Baby Cubby, Lehi UT
Black Sheep Cafe, Provo UT
Heirloom Art Co., Provo UT
Moon’s Rare Books, Provo UT
City Creek Center, Salt Lake City UT
Dowdle Studios, Lindon UT
It was a fabulous trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to the UV Parade of Homes!
