September: Why We Love Fall

There are many reasons why we love Fall at Juniper & Sage. Fall is a season of changing, which for us includes embracing the cozy and inviting atmosphere. With it’s rich colors, crisp air, and comforting textures, autumn offers endless inspiration for creating beautiful and welcoming spaces.

Warm and inviting color palettes…

With autumn around the corner we love to reflect on the color palettes Fall elicits. For example, jewel tones, such as deep shades of burgundy, emerald green and cerulean add a touch of luxury and sophistication to any room. With that in mind, earthy neutrals, such as taupe, beige, and brown, create a grounding and timeless bass for your Fall decor.

Cozy textures…

To us, Fall means getting out our boucle pillows and knitted blankets. We love the plush fabrics and natural materials that are so familiar to Fall time. An easy way to seamless incorporate these textures can be a new throw blanket or pillow on a chair or using elements like wood or stone to give your seasonal decor an organic feel.

Cozy lighting and seasonal scents…

Our last, but not least favorite inspiration for Fall is creating comfortable places with lighting and smell. Warm-toned bulbs and string lights shape inviting ambiance and a festive glow. To add to that, the scents of cinnamon, apple, orange and clove helps bring autumn to mind and relaxes any room.
